Araya was built by two creators who got tired of watching talented people get undervalued, overwhelmed, and under supported. We have been on both sides, making content ourselves and working alongside creators, brands, and media outlets. That experience is what makes us different.

Teresa Valenton - Co-Founder

Teresa is a TikTok and Instagram creator, multimedia journalist, and storyteller based in Toronto. She has contributed to outlets like CanCulture, She Does The City, and The Eyeopener, and her work has always been rooted in amplifying underrepresented voices, especially within diasporic and Southeast Asian communities. Teresa has worked one-on-one with creators on PR and outreach, and she carries that same personal, community-driven energy into every client relationship at Opal.

Isabella D’Andrea - Co-Founder

Isabella's background is in film and content creation on youtube and other platforms such as, Instagram and Tiktok. Isabella is someone who knows the creative process from the inside out. Beyond her own channel, she has spent years working hands-on with creators, shooting UGC, scripting content, and bringing a sharp visual and storytelling instinct to every project. She understands what it feels like to pour everything into your content while the business side piles up on the side. That is exactly why she built Opal, to be the support system she wished she had. At Opal, Isabella brings creativity, industry experience, and genuine care to every creator she works with.
